About the course
Young UNICEF (YoU) Are Leaders is a transformative leadership program that will help develop new leadership capacities and create a strong community among UNICEF young staff. The program is based on well-researched, innovative, practical, and proven frameworks, with a focus on learning by doing (tacit knowledge).
The programme aims to develop more leadership capacity; institutionalize proven models and tools to enhance the position and leadership capacity of Young UNICEF; and establish models for practicing true youth leadership at UNICEF.
Through this course, you will develop your potential as a young leader to lead and drive organizational change and to become an active part of an empowered young workforce for diversified leadership at UNICEF. You will be able to provide yourself with the tools to take and influence action in your scope of work as well as invest in yourself to become the best talent fit for achieving results for children.
Learning objectives
Upon successful completion of the course, you should be able to:

- Exercise adaptive leadership.

- Become a lifetime learner with a growth mindset.
Audience
This training is designed for 100 selected participants from Young UNICEF.
Length
The total duration of this programme is 9 months (39 weeks)
Methodology
Modules feature a mix of interactive virtual lessons and learning activities, readings, workshops, debriefings, individual coaching, resources and more. Each course includes exercises, simulations, peer-to-peer learning, relationship building, practical homework and leadership project. The focus is on learning by doing. Frameworks used: Adaptive Leadership, Community Organizing, Adult Development, Systems Thinking.
