Fleet management is a major component of how UNICEF delivers its programmes. This course describes what fleet management is and why it is important.

Learning objectives

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe the functions of fleet management
  • Describe the objectives as well as risks and priorities of managing a humanitarian fleet
  • Understand the process of vehicle lifecycle management from acquisition to disposal
  • Understand the concept of total cost of ownership of vehicles in the fleet and the importance of measuring fleet performance

Audience

This course is suitable to administrative assistants doing the function of fleet management, administrative officers, administrative specialists and operations managers.

It is also open to anyone interested in learning about fleet management.
