"Good Distribution Practices" is a quality system that includes requirements for purchasing, receiving, storage and export of medicines. This quality system could equally apply to nutrition products distributed by UNICEF. 


Learning objectives

At the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Understand the basic requirements of GDP;
  • Interpret the requirements of GDP as per the relevant GDP guidelines;
  • Recognize how GDP is applied during warehousing and transportation with respect to UNICEF SD.


Audience

  • UNICEF Supply Division Staff. Inclusive of new staff, staff who require retraining, or those who are not familiar with the principles of Good Distribution Practice and wish to enhance their understanding. 
  • UNICEF Supply Division Warehouse Staff who work in the warehouse and missed the yearly mandatory training. Note that for GDP compliance, yearly training will be organized for staff working in the warehouse and are mandatory to attend.
  • UNICEF Supply Division Temporary Workers. Please contact your direct supervisor.
  • UNICEF Supply Division Staff. This includes new staff, staff who require retraining, or those who are not familiar with the principles of Good Distribution Practice and wish to enhance their understanding.


Please note that this course is only available for Supply Division staff.


Length

It should take you about 80 minutes to complete this self-paced course. 


Methodology and structure

The course is organized into three modules that include interactive videos. At the end of the training, there will be a compulsory test, which requires an 80% pass mark.
