Audience

Primary and secondary school teachers in Colombia who want to promote peacebuilding from the classroom.

Duration

This course should take you a total of 30 hours to complete. We suggest dedicating 5 hours per week, including working on the challenges.

Methodology

Throughout the course, which you can complete at your own pace, you'll be guided by six characters who will lead your learning process through the 5 modules and the 6 sections within each module. During these sections, you'll have access to support resources, such as interactive presentations, infographics, videos, and downloadable materials that will enrich your learning experience.

Next, we'd like to introduce you to the six people who will accompany you throughout your training. Rocío and Juan Pablo, teachers who share your aspirations, want to build peace in their classrooms and will be with you to reflect on the course content from a teacher's perspective. Joaquín and Martha, community leaders, will help you delve deeper into the importance of a collective approach to peacebuilding. Finally, Daniela and Camilo, two students, will guide you through the process of developing concrete actions you can take in your classroom to create spaces for positive coexistence.

In each module, you will explore sections dedicated to reflecting on the findings and recommendations, as well as specific strategies for fostering peacebuilding in the classroom. At the end of each module, you will complete a self-assessment to consolidate your learning.

At the end of each module, you will receive a badge that serves as proof of completion. These five badges will symbolically come together to form "The Blanket of Our History," reflecting each teacher's contribution to a collective commitment that drives the building of a country on the path to reconciliation.

By collecting all 5 badges, you will receive your certificate of participation in the course's training process.
