Fleet management is a major component of how UNICEF delivers its programmes. This module introduces you to vehicle maintenance and repair.

Learning objectives

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify the main reason why vehicles break down.
  • Determine the benefits to be derived from well maintained vehicles.
  • Identify the considerations to be taken into account when deciding on a workshop.
  • Step through the business processes for preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Identify the drivers' responsibilities for conducting vehicle checks.
  • Step through the procedure for entering a scheduled service in the fleet management system.

Audience

This course is suitable to administrative assistants doing the function of fleet management, administrative officers, administrative specialists and operations managers.

It is also recommended to chiefs of operations who may want to understand more about fleet management.   

Length

It should take you about 25 minutes to complete this self-paced course.

This course is composed of a single short self-paced animated module, including various examples and activities.
