Programme Content

As part of the JPO Programme, participants complete a tailored career development curriculum, which maximizes their performance and helps them grow within the organization. During their assignments, JPOs receive dedicated support through various career development tools to assist participants with identifying their strengths and development areas. Additional support is provided by the participant’s respective supervisor in his/her assigned duty station.

The Programme will cover:

1. Key activities for you to complete before you join your new office, as well as guidance on the administrative tasks you will need to complete once you are on board

2. Build and expand core knowledge of UNICEF’s functional context and Human Resources/Ethics

3. E-learning opportunities in performance management: create the conditions for high performance and development

4. E-learning opportunities on basic UNICEF programmes & operational strategies; thematic programme and cross-cutting areas

5. E-learning opportunities for career planning & transitioning: proactively manage career transitioning.
