This course will introduce you to Common U.N. Procurement and will help you understand how to make procurement actions more efficient and effective. Common Procurement has proven to be beneficial because of better negotiating position towards suppliers, leveraging another organization’s expertise, enabling small offices to procure despite insufficient capacity and shortening the time to complete the procurement process.
Learning objectives
The main objective of this course is to help the audience obtain the basic understanding of UN procurement harmonization: the rationale and the factors to make collaboration happen.
The first module, "Options for Common Procurement" focuses on the different ways to cooperate with other UN Agencies through collaborative or common procurement actions.
The second module, "Enablers of Common Procurement" introduces different ways to make common procurement run smoother and more effectively in your organization.
Audience
This course is suitable to all UN programme and operation staff at all levels.
Length
It should take you about 2 hours to complete this self-paced course.
Methodology
This course is composed of a single self-paced animated module, including various examples, quiz, activities and final exam.
