  • Explain the strategic role that operations plays in achieving Organizational results.
  • Articulate how the operations function collaborates with partners at Country, Regional, and Headquarters levels.
  • Describe innovative ways that the operations function promotes management excellence.
  • List the steps being taken to make the strategic operations function a reality.

Prerequisite learning

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Target audience

This course is required for Operations staff and recommended for all UNICEF staff who want to achieve a better understanding of the more strategic Operations function and how it can support their own work.

Methodology

The course is composed of five modules:

Module 1:  Introduction
Module 2:  Operations as promoters of management excellence
Module 3:  Operations as business partners
Module 4:  The Head of Operations as senior managers
Module 5:  Making Operations more strategic in UNICEF

Each module starts with learning objectives, includes questions to check your knowledge of the content, and ends with a module summary.
