Managing performance is at the heart of getting the best from people and achieving results for the organization. Managing performance is not a one-time event, but an ongoing feedback and coaching process where both supervisor and supervisee have an active role in sustaining successful dialogue to impact results. 

This module provides all staff with key resources to gain a thorough understanding of UNICEF's performance management process. 

Learning objectives

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • Understand the strategy and background underpinning performance management processes at UNICEF 
  • Understand how and when to effectively assess individual performance at UNICEF
  • Clarify roles and responsibilities in the performance management cycle
  • Locate additional performance management resources on Agora
  • Know where to go for help on all performance management-related questions 

Audience

This course is suitable for all new staff joining UNICEF, across all categories (IP, NO, and GS), irrespective of seniority and duty station.  

Length

It should take you about 75 minutes to review all components of this module.
