Module 2 – “Engagement with Business” is one out of three introductory modules to PSFR and partnerships. It provides an overview of UNICEF’s approach to engaging with business, including advancing the child rights agenda and mobilising resources. It also includes due diligence and legal considerations for setting up corporate partnerships.

Structure

Module 2 comprises an introductory chapter to engagement with business as well as three thematic chapters:

1) Children's Rights and Business
2) Corporate Fundraising
3) Programme Cooperation with the Private Sector [coming soon]

Target Audience and Recommended Participation

This online orientation mainly targets UNICEF staff new to PSFR and Partnerships in UNICEF, particularly in Country Offices (COs) [1] with already established structured engagement in PSFR. Any other staff, as well as colleagues from National Committees, who are interested to learn more about PSFR and partnerships, may also use this orientation.

Module 2 is accessible to UNICEF and NatCom staff.

Participation is on a voluntary basis. Participants may choose to complete individual modules and chapters according to interest, preference and available time. It is also possible to start a chapter or quiz and complete it at a later time.

It is recommended to begin the online orientation with the Overview Module “PFP Online Orientation Strategic Context”. Within Module 2, it is recommended to complete the introductory overview chapter before continuing with the remaining chapters.
