The objective of the programme
This Foundational Course is offered to bring all staff up to a minimum level of understanding of UNICEF’s WASH strategies and programming. It comes with a certificate and is intended as part of WASH staff career development. For future hiring and for the talent pools, for example, we will be looking for staff who have taken and passed this and other courses. Also to note the ongoing Women in WASH initiative where we have a number of activities to put right the gender imbalance we have in our staff numbers, capacity and senior representation.
Target audience
It is targeted to new and junior professional staff but is also open to administrative staff and more established staff wishing to brush up on their knowledge.
Structure
This course is self paced and is structured around 8 core modules. All the audio is in English; the PowerPoint presentations are in English, Spanish and French. The FAQs are in English. Once you have accessed each module, you can earn a certificate for the course by completing the multiple choice exam and course evaluation.
