Preparedness, both in our professional and personal lives, is essential to ensuring our safety and well-being so we can continue fulfilling the UNICEF mission when an emergency occurs.

Learning objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the concept of emergency management and its phases
  • Increase awareness of emergency preparedness
  • Identify measures that can be taken, in their professional and personal lives, to prevent and/or prepare for an emergency

Audience

This course is recommended for ALL UNICEF personnel (staff and non-staff), existing and newly recruited.

Length

This course will take about 30 minutes to complete.

Methodology

This course is intended to raise awareness and enlighten UNICEF personnel on the importance of implementing preparedness measures, both at the office and home, to respond to and recover from an emergency incident.

All modules below must be marked as completed along with passing the final learning assessment and completing the course evaluation to receive credit for this course.
