Learning objectives
At the end of this e-Course, you will be able to:
- understand and utilise basic concepts such as measurement and indicator
- recognise and understand major analytical and planning tools in education
- explain what is meant by equity in education and how it can be analysed
- differentiate approaches to analysing enrolment, internal efficiency, and out-of-school children
- recall the concept of learning and different ways to assess it
- identify approaches to analysing the economic and social impacts of education as well as approaches to analysing the cost and financing of education
- have knowledge about the UNICEF-UIS Out-of-school children Initiative and how it can be implemented at country level
- demonstrate how to assess the strength of evidence used to inform education programming and policy choices, including understanding different types of evidence, principles of high quality evidence, and more
Audience
All staff, in particular staff working in programmatic areas such as Education. The course is also suitable to M&E staff, and external actors working in education.
Length
It will take you about 5-7 hours to complete this self-paced e-Course. Each lesson covers a different topic and takes about 30-45 minutes hour to complete.
