About the course

This course describes various sectors, such as water, sanitation, hygiene, education and health, that play a critical role in the prevention and treatment of malnutrition. The course explains how these sectors are interlinked and contribute to nutrition and public health outcomes.

Learning objectives

By the end of this module, you should be able to:

  • Describe the scope of integrated programming

  • Explain the linkages between WASH, health, education, food security, and nutrition that impact nutrition and public health

  • Identify WASH, health, education, agriculture/food security and protection activities that can be integrated into nutrition

  • Describe how social protection or assistance and cash transfer can improve nutrition outcomes

Audience

  • UNICEF staff (country offices, regional offices, and HQ)
  • UNICEF partners, including government, civil society, and the private sector

Length

It takes about 30 minutes to complete the course.

Methodology

The course is a self-paced tutorial with interactive content and a quiz.
