About the course

This is covers micronutrient deficiencies and associated health risks through proper assessment, prevention and treatment strategies.

Learning objectives

By the end of course, you should be able to:

  • Explain the causes of micronutrient deficiencies
  • Discuss the global scope of micronutrient deficiencies 
  • Explain the methods to assess micronutrient deficiencies 
  • List the relevant standards and approaches to prevent and treat micronutrient deficiencies  
  • Discuss programme design issues related to assessment, prevention and treatment of micronutrient deficiencies
