In this module we look at the roles and responsibilities of various people and organisations in the supply pipeline. We also look at how the IMO supports the Cluster Coordinator in their role. We look at the types of supplies that are needed for various interventions and finally we look at issues and challenges in maintaining a supply chain.

  • Explain the responsibilities of the nutrition cluster coordinator team and other key stakeholders
  • List the types of nutrition supplies that might be needed for nutrition programmes in humanitarian crises, where they can be sourced and some of the factors that affect their procurement
  • Identify common challenges and barriers related to procurement for nutrition programming in emergencies
