Mentoring is performance driven, designed to improve an IMO on-the-job performance and can support national and local actors to overcome technical and operational challenges involved in collecting and contributing accurate data. Coaching takes a more holistic approach to career development but is key to strengthening systems in the long-term.
This module looks at the various types of support and introduces peer to peer coaching and mentoring as two methods to support and strengthen national and sub national IM systems and human resources for any cluster or sector. Finally, the module introduces the GNC Mentoring Programme.
