In a humanitarian context, it is important for the nutrition cluster to engage with the donor community to raise the profile of the nutrition response, advocate on behalf of the collective’s needs and share information on how the response is evolving. A number of key donors support nutrition programming in humanitarian contexts and it is helpful for the nutrition cluster, and the nutrition cluster coordination team, to have a good understanding of their mandates, strategies and priorities. This can enable the cluster coordination team to provide more effective and targeted advice and support to partners when they apply for funds. This will also facilitate the process of engaging with donors to advocate for funding of nutrition activities.
