Communication is central to effective advocacy to reach, inform and persuade external audiences, from policymakers to communities. Once you have a clear advocacy strategy with well-defined advocacy goals and objectives and after you have defined your main stakeholders, you should develop core advocacy messages to communicate about your issue, its solutions and who you are. Nutrition cluster advocacy messages should clearly summarise the cluster’s position and the change that it is seeking to achieve.
