This course will provide you with a basic knowledge of nutrition needs assessment and needs analysis methodologies and tools. You will also learn about some of the considerations for nutrition needs assessment such as the integration of vulnerable groups and what to consider when access to populations is limited (e.g. in pandemics).

- Describe the different types of nutrition needs assessments and their purpose
- Become familiar with the considerations for if, when and how to initiate nutrition data collection in the context of pandemics
- Describe key considerations for the integration of affected population and specific vulnerabilities into nutrition needs assessments
- Demonstrate how Gap Analysis Tool is used in the monitoring phase
- Describe the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) as an analytical approach for decision-makers
