This learning pathway will develop your intermediate knowledge and skills in nutrition cluster information management (IM). The learning pathway contains all the level 2 modules related to the functional competencies of the information management competency framework. You will learn how to provide IM support for a humanitarian needs overview for nutrition, the development of a nutrition cluster response plan and the implementation of a nutrition cluster M&E framework. You will also examine assessment software, data management systems, data protection principles and geographic data software.

Learning objectives

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

- Identify the key tasks for the IMWG TOR 
- Describe the scenario-based approach to conducting a nutrition humanitarian needs overview 
- Describe the steps for calculating the number of People in Need (PiN) for the nutrition sector 
- Describe how to develop a nutrition cluster response plan in collaboration with nutrition cluster partners 
- Identify key tasks in adapting and implementing the M&E Framework 
- List principles relating to data responsibility 
- Understand the fundamentals of GIS
- Describe how to customise the look/feel of HR.info cluster pages 
- Identify areas where the coordination team are involved in capacity development for coordination, assessment and IM tasks.

This is an intermediary learning pathway targeted at individuals working in more complex environments in a national cluster or larger sub-national cluster.

Length

It should take you on average 30 hours to complete this self-paced course.
