Course Overview

COVID-19 has reminded us that hand hygiene is one of the most effective ways to prevent many infectious diseases causing diarrhoea, pneumonia and other symptoms in children. Now, more than ever, there is an urgent need to scale up hand hygiene in all settings.

This module is designed to provide you with the essential knowledge you will need to engage with supply chain actors and support the development of locally sourced and produced hand hygiene products.

  • Explain how access to hand hygiene improves outcomes for children

  • Assess strengths, opportunities, and gaps in hand hygiene markets in their country context
  • Identify actions that can be taken to strengthen the local markets
