AAP and Inclusive Decision Making Within the AoR/ Cluster/ Sector

In this module we will look at Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP). We will explore what AAP is and what tools we have for implementing AAP when working in a coordination team. We will also look more closely at making decisions inclusively and integrating the views of groups with vulnerabilities into needs assessments and other data gathering processes.

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

• Explain the purpose and benefits of AAP in humanitarian action
• List tools that are available to help in the implementation of AAP
• Define tasks for integrating AAP across the work of the AoR/ cluster/ sector team
• Describe key considerations on the integration of views of affected population and specific vulnerabilities into needs assessments and other data gathering processes

This module is suitable for people with some experience of information management in humanitarian contexts who wish to develop their knowledge and skills further, including those who need to engage with coordination and humanitarian architecture on this topic.
