Learning objectives
After completing this Learning Pathway, you should:
- Be
able to describe the role of social norms in social change.
- Know
when social norms are an appropriate approach to SBC-related issues.
- Believe that social
norms play an important role in SBC.
- Include
social norms theory and practice in the design of SBC initiatives when
appropriate.
- Engage with appropriate social norms expertise when needed through the LTAs or other mechanisms.
Audience
This Learning Pathway is primarily for UNICEF staff and external partners who are interested in learning about how social norms function and how SBC incorporates social norms into programmes. the role of SBC in UNICEF. It is an intermediate pathway, which means that it will provide a mix of basic and advanced information about the content.
This Pathway has been primarily designed for:
- UNICEF staff (country offices, Regional Offices and HQ)
- UNICEF partners, including LTA holders and individual consultants
- UNICEF government, civil society and corporate partners as appropriate
Length
The time to complete this Learning Pathway will vary depending on the courses you choose. At a minimum, you should plan to spend 1 - 2 hours a week over the course of 8 - 10 weeks to complete it.
Methodology
This Learning Pathway includes seven required courses and one SBC Expert Series video.
Structure
This Learning Pathway includes courses on Agora and videos on YouTube.
