This course comprises five modules designed to equip you with comprehensive insights and practical skills related to the foundations of KM in UNICEF, benefits overview and practical application of KM, strategic implementation and organizational improvement to contribute effectively to UNICEF's mission while cultivating a dynamic knowledge-sharing culture within the organization.
Learning objectives
By the end of the ‘KM for UNICEF Results (Basics)' course, participants will be able to:
- Define Knowledge Management (KM), related key terms, concepts, and articulate the vision for KM in UNICEF.
- Explain the value and benefits of KM for UNICEF, as well as the risks associated with not implementing KM in our offices.
- Cite concrete KM approaches along the different areas of KM work and recall how some country office are using the approaches in their specific contexts.
- Apply a simple tool to ensure that KM activities are anchored on the needs and gaps of offices.
- Discuss the learning loop and basic tools that can be incorporated in our work to ensure we learn before, during and after implementing projects and activities.
Audience
This course is one of three courses that comprise the KM Learning Programme and is aimed at providing all UNICEF colleagues with a foundational knowledge on Knowledge Management.
