In this module, we will explore how to effectively do an ICSC Needs Assessment and Analysis. This is the third module from the Inter-Cluster/Sector Collaboration (ICSC) e-learning series. Now that we know what is ICSC (Module 1) and what each sector is doing (Module 2), in this modules 3, we will go through the key actions to undertake an ICSC needs assessment and analysis, stage 1 from the Humanitarian Programme Cycle (HPC).
Learning objectives
By the end of this session, you should be able to:
- List and explain the 5 key steps to complete an ICSC Needs assessment and analysis.
- Learn about key multi-sectoral assessment methodologies and their purposes.
- Get familiar with the Joint Intersectoral Analysis Framework (JIAF) and the Integrated Phase Classification (IPC) and how are they connected to an ICSC Need Assessment and Analysis.
Audience
This module is an intermediate-level course aimed at anyone who is interested in developing skills and knowledge in inter-cluster/sector collaboration in humanitarian contexts.
Length
It should take you about 70 minutes to complete this self-paced course.

This course is composed of a single short self-paced animated module, including various examples and activities.
