- At the end of this course you will be able to receive a certificate once you:
- Understand the concepts of climate smart health systems
- Understand the health facilities solar electrification initiative
- Recognize solar systems’ components and the basic design of the system
- Understand basic healthcare waste definitions
- Learn HCW treatment technologies works and its impact on the environment
- Learn from other countries’ experiences on assessing and implementing activities to improve HCWM
- Understand how immunization cold chain equipment can be disposed while respecting the environment

Length
It should take you about 3 hours to watch all videos and complete this self-paced course.
Methodology
This course is composed of an introduction, 20 short/medium length videos, and final section testing the newly acquired knowledge. Each module introduces 'key messages' illustrated by interactive icons and short videos providing more information. The videos walk the leaner through the main concepts of each module, facilitating its understanding. The videos are available with audio, a transcript is provided for all. A final activity encourages you to reflect on the learning for each module and, finally, the course as a whole.
