At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Define the key principles of the UN 2.0 initiative and explain its significance for the future of the UN.
  2. Identify and describe the five core shifts—innovation, digital transformation, data, foresight, and behavioural science—and their role in modernizing the UN.
  3. Evaluate how data-driven decision-making and digital technologies can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of UN programs.
  4. Identify concrete actions for integrating UN 2.0 principles into daily workflows, policies, and strategic initiatives.

 Length

The foundational path is fully self-paced — you can start with as little as 1 hour, and the complete journey offers about 20 hours of learning to explore whenever it suits you.


 Methodology

This learning path begins with an introduction to UN 2.0, followed by an exploration of the five cross-cutting competence areas—known as the Quintet of Change. You'll start by building a solid foundation with LinkedIn courses that showcase how these competencies are applied in today’s business world.

Next, dive deeper into each area with advanced sub-learning paths. These include high-level LinkedIn courses from which you can understand how you can build that cross-cutting competence into your work area. This is accompanied by key UN materials, essential policies, strategies, and tools. Finally, the journey concludes with a curated collection of UNICEF’s most valuable learning resources.
