In this course, learners will identify the primary components of Connecting Inclusive Feeding and Disability Resources to Nutrition Practices in Humanitarian Contexts: A Decision Tool. This tool assists community health workers and personnel at health and nutrition centers in assessing and analyzing feeding practices for infants and young children. It enables them to act, appraise, and assign adequate support to children experiencing feeding difficulties or disabilities. 

Learning objectives

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • Recognize components of the tool, including its Purpose, Target Audience and Entry Points and understand the meaning of each symbol in the tool.
  • Explore one decision pathway involving one age group and understand how the tool works.
  • Apply acquired knowledge in a case study.

Audience

This module is an introductory-level course aimed at anyone who is interested in developing knowledge and skills about nutrition and feeding practices for infants and young children with disabilities in humanitarian contexts.

It should take you about 40 minutes to complete this self-paced course.
