Methodology :

This learning program offers the participant a mission to a fictitious country to help improve various elements of their immunization supply chain. These experiential teachings consist of challenges where the participant will meet different characters and re-weld specific problems, either at the national, regional or district level.

Structure:

This teaching program consists of an introduction and 5 challenges.

Introduction: preparation for the mission

Get an update from the Senior Immunization Advisor on the situation on Great Island. Meet Laura, who will help you along your mission. Receive basic information on the links between the supply chain and overall immunization goals.

Challenge 1: Procurement

Help the Great Island country obtain a new vaccine which is due to be introduced soon.

Challenge 2: managing the cold chain

Visit the North East region to assist the Regional Office and two district offices to assist with calculating cold chain storage needs, purchasing missing equipment, and providing advice for a national inventory of cold chain equipment. You can also take a look at the national rehabilitation and expansion plan.

You return to the national office to help choose the appropriate indicators to monitor the supply chain and to advise for the next assessment of effective vaccine management.

Challenge 5: Supplementary immunization activities

In this last challenge, you will help the national office adequately prepare the supply chain for the next Supplemental Immunization Activity.

Certificate of participation:

The certificate of participation can be generated once the participant has completed all the modules.
