This course will provide participants with basic understanding on how to assess, design, implement and monitor programmes using CVA for nutrition outcomes.
Learning objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be familiar with the key concepts on CVA for nutrition outcomes, and the main approaches on how to use CVA for nutrition outcomes throughout the programme cycle (from situation and response analysis to design, implementation and monitoring).
More specifically, by the end of the course, participants will be:
- Able to explain key concepts on CVA for nutrition outcomes and terminology
- Understand when and how they can use CVA for nutrition outcomes,
- Able to identify potential beneficiary groups of CVA for nutrition outcomes,
- Understand the objectives, approaches, and components of a CVA for nutrition programmes,
- Understand common challenges and good practices in implementing & monitoring CVA for nutrition outcomes programmes.
Audience
This course is intended for nutrition experts with limited or no familiarity with CVA programming, as well as for CVA practitioners who lack specific competencies in applying CVA within nutrition programming.
Length
It should take you about 2 hours to complete this self-paced course.
Methodology
This course is composed of four short self-paced animated modules, including various examples and activities.

- Module 1: Introduction to Nutrition and CVA (30 minutes)
- Module 2: Situation and Response Analysis for CVA for Nutrition Programmes (30 minutes)
- Module 3: Design and Implementation for CVA for Nutrition Programmes (45 minutes)
