About the course
The mAsset is a mobile application that is available for use via iPhone through UNICEF’s corporate application portal which makes it easy for offices to maintain UNICEF asset records, eliminating the need for paper. This course describes the principles and process of asset management using the mAsset mobile application as well as the related UNICEF policies and procedures. This course will focus on Asset Focal Point, whose responsibility is to oversee the asset management in their office. Separate modules have been created for (1) Deputy Rep Operations/Chief of Operations; (2) Asset Admin; and (3) Counters.
Learning objectives
At the end of this course you will be able to understand:
- Daily Asset Management activities and Roles.
- Identify asset count tools.
- Schedule and conduct the count
- Understand the role of Deputy Representative or Chief of Operations in asset management.
- Understand who can be a counter and their role.
- Understand the new Procurement Services Board (PSB) process and tools.
Length
It should take approximately 3 hours to complete the course.
Methodology
This course is designed for staff to learn about the mobile asset application. Inside the module, learners will learn about tools, concepts, roles and responsibilities. New concepts will be reinforced through instructional strategies such as quizzes.
