This course introduces UNICEF and its work to protect and promote the rights of children around the world; to enable them to realize their full potential

Training objectives

By completing this module, you will be able to describe:

  • The history and structure of UNICEF
  • UNICEF's strategic goals
  • The main areas of work of UNICEF
  • Key UNICEF strategies for achieving results for children

Target audience

This course is intended for all UNICEF staff as well as anyone wishing to familiarize themselves with the organization. 

Duration

It would take about 30 minutes to complete this course.

Methodology

This course consists of a single self-study module, including various examples and activities. 

Structure

This course provides an overview of the mission, structure and goals of UNICEF. It consists of five sections:

  1. Where we come from (Discover the story of UNICEF)
  2. Who we are (Explore the identity of UNICEF)
  3. What we do (Learn about UNICEF's successes)
  4. How we do it (Find out how UNICEF is achieving its goals)
  5. How we are organized (Learn how UNICEF is structured)
