About the course
Building upon the last five years of rolling out the GBV Guidelines, the inter-agency GBV Guidelines Reference Group (RG)1 and Implementation Support Team (IST)2 are pleased to announce a new online course on integrating GBV risk mitigation interventions in humanitarian action. This informational announcement offers an overview of the online course.
Audience
Irrespective of sector or region, humanitarian staff with
an interest to learn more about GBV risk mitigation are
encouraged to apply.
Schedule
The online GBV risk mitigation course will be run in real-time and as such will be highly interactive. This course will commence on 12 April 2021 and end on 16 July 2021.The course is divided into three modules and will break for one week between modules.
Module 1: Programme Design, Implementation and Monitoring & Evaluation - Five weeks
Module 2: Resource Mobilization and Advocacy - Four weeks
Module 3: Responding to a GBV Disclosure - Three weeks
It is not mandatory to take all three modules - course
applicants will be asked to take a quick quiz about their
current roles to help them determine which of the three
modules are most important for them. Most applicants will
be steered towards Modules 1 & 3, with Module 2 only
recommended to practitioners with resource mobilization
and/or advocacy responsibilities.
Estimated learning effort
The e-learning course will be accompanied by weekly one-hour webinars delivered by the GBV Guidelines IST and
supported by additional subject matter expert facilitators
from GBV Guidelines RG member agencies and other
partners. The selected cohort will learn together, from the
facilitators and from each other - via videos, assignments,
webinars, and discussions – throughout the duration of the
