A nutrition cluster will need to periodically assess the nutrition needs of an affected population as part of a broader Humanitarian Needs Overview (HNO) process. The process for developing this nutrition cluster HNO analysis has a number of different stages.

It is part of the recommended learning path for national IMOs and cluster coordinators aiming to progress to senior-level roles.
