This module introduces the 4W, which is used to show the operational presence of nutrition cluster partners and locations within an emergency.
It can enable organisations to help identify potential partners, quickly give a very rough understanding of an ongoing response, and superficially identify potential overlaps or gaps in response.
For more in-depth monitoring for the GNC see the ‘Monitoring Tools’ module which covers Partners Reporting Tool and BMS Code violations Tracking Tool.
Learning objectives
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Explain what the 4W is, what it does and does not do;
- Identify methods to collect 4W data; and
- List the type of information that can be derived from the tool to help focus the response.
