Reliable accounting is essential for effective financial management and reporting.
This course aims to provide a good understanding of accounting basics, key principles and their application.
This course is mainly targeting the UNICEF implementing partners, to provide them a good understanding of accounting basics, key principles and their application. At the end of the course, learners should be able to document the transactions of their projects/programmes in a proper and comprehensive way with or without an accounting software and make the connection between accounting and financial reporting (FACE form).

Audience
This course is mainly meant for UNICEF implementing partners and staff members but may also serve other UN agencies and their implementing partners.
Length
It should take you about 60 minutes to complete this course.
Methodology
This course is composed of an introduction, eight chapters with a test of knowledge for each of them and a final assessment testing the newly acquired knowledge. This course is available with or without audio, a transcript is provided as well. It also includes interactive icons and short videos providing more information.
