Key Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the qualification, participants will:
- Have a sound understanding of the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to be a professional HR practitioner
- Know how HR activities support an organisation's strategy, assist in the achievement of business objectives, and how these are shaped by internal and external factors
- Be able to record, analyse, and use HR information
- Be able to identify and understand the factors which affect an organisation's talent planning, recruitment, and selection policies
- Understand the purpose and processes of performance and reward management, and understand the role of HR in promoting and supporting good practice.
Target Audience
This programme is recommended for those who are new to HR, or currently working in HR and wish to further develop their knowledge and skills or require a refresher.
Programme Structure
The programme is comprised of 7 mandatory units for certification.
- Each unit is 8 –14 weeks long, including one study week and one assessment week.
- No exams at any stage –each unit is completed before you move on to the next one.
- Each assessment is one of three types (see below) and is a pass or fail, with one chance to resubmit.
- Each unit takes 60 learning hours to complete, including social participation and the assessment.
