This module focuses on Step 5 of the Emergency Response Preparedness (ERP) process: Planning for operational arrangements.
During this module, you will understand how to plan for all operational arrangements required to enable a timely and effective emergency response. You will learn how to anticipate on possible obstacles that could hinder a timely implementation of an early response.
You will see how this step of the ERP planning process leads to the identification of key preparedness actions.
Learning objectives
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Understand what are the pre-arrangements to be made at preparedness phase to guide the operationalization of an early response.
- Describe the operational arrangements to be anticipated and prepared for coordination, IM, assessments and response delivery.
- Find out that there is value in anticipating potential obstacles in response and turning them into Preparedness actions.
Audience
This module is an intermediary-level course aimed at anyone who is interested in furthering their skills and knowledge in nutrition cluster coordination in humanitarian contexts, and who needs to coordinate and collaborate with the humanitarian architecture on this topic. It is part of the recommended learning path for national nutrition cluster coordinators aiming to progress to senior level roles.
