Methodology
This course teaches participants UNICEF’s approach and emerging approaches to developing prevention programming for some types of GBV – including Sexual Violence (SV), Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and Child Marriage (CM). Each topic in the course opens with an introductory slide. The contents that follow contain ‘how-to’s, foundational principles and good practices that lead to effective GBV prevention programming. Participants stay engaged by interacting with information-rich note cards and flip cards. Consider questions that stimulate critical thinking along the way. Discover the determinants of effective programming, consider programme stakeholders and learn the steps involved in preparing prevention programming related to these forms of GBV. Explore examples of programming during ongoing response and early recovery.
The course ends with a ten-question multiple choice quiz. Participants who score 80 per cent or higher receive a certificate of completion. Participants are asked to complete a learner course evaluation.
