Performance management is the key driver in achieving maximum results for the world’s children. 

inSight is UNICEF’s flagship performance management system providing timely and accurate information across the organization via a single point of entry to facilitate managing for results.

Since its launch in 2012, inSight has been used across UNICEF offices globally and the user base continues to expand. It is now the primary tool to track and monitor results in all the key corporate performance areas.

This online self-learning module aims to:

  • Increase the reach and enhance the knowledge and use of UNICEF’s performance managements system for new staff and as a refresher for existing staff.
  • Promote a data-driven workforce and encourage the widespread use of inSight.

Learning objectives

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand inSight and its importance in the performance management system of the organization.
  • Open and access the different dashboards/reports/tools available in inSight.
  • Navigate through the various inSight products/tools and understand their usage.
  • Know and access the knowledge base, request for technical support.

Audience

  • UNICEF staff (country offices, Regional Offices and HQ)
  • UNICEF and National Committee consultants, interns, and volunteers

Length

It should take you about 60 minutes to complete this self-paced course.

Methodology

This course is composed of four chapters packaged in one module and a final section testing the newly acquired knowledge. The course has an interactive component that shows the different features of inSight. The participant should be able to click and open windows by following voice-providing instructions on how to navigate through the site. The course is available with or without audio, a transcript is provided for all. A final activity encourages you to reflect on the learning for each chapter and, finally, the course as a whole.
