This module explores what the purpose of capacity strengthening is within the context of the cluster system and considers the approach that can be taken to best achieve this purpose. It also explores how to define the required capacities in a given context and provides an overview of the steps involved in identifying, planning and implementing capacity strengthening activities.
After completing this module, you will be able to:

- Describe ways of approaching capacity strengthening that can increase the effectiveness and sustainability of activities,
- Describe how to define the capacities required to deliver a quality humanitarian response,
