Your role is to support partners in their understanding of the functioning of the coordination platform, the benefits of coordination and their necessary contribution to the coordination system.

Audience

This is an initial orientation course aimed at NEW cluster partners or NEW cluster member organisations who should systematically be briefed about the cluster coordination in humanitarian contexts. The Nutrition Cluster Coordination team can use the resources nested in this course for their Face-to-Face briefings as well.

Length

It should take you about 2 hours to complete this self-paced course. 

Methodology

This course is composed of videos, short self-paced animated modules, and downloadable PPT, brochure and welcome letter. 

Structure

This course is composed of:

    • The Humanitarian Coordination and the Cluster approach
    • The Cluster Lead Agency’s Role and Responsibilities within the Cluster Approach
    • Introduction to Roles and Responsibilities of the Cluster Coordination Team and Partners 
  • Downloadable resources for partners and Nutrition cluster coordination team:
    • PPT presentation of the Cluster Approach (for in country Face-to-face partners orientation sessions)
    • GNC Orientation Handbook for New partners
    • Infographic about the Role of the Nutrition Cluster Partners
