Learning objectives

At the end of this training, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamentals of GTM (Google Tag Manager) in a GTM 101 overview and familiarize themselves with the GTM Interface
  • Navigate and utilize GTM Workspaces effectively. Manage user permissions within the Admin Section of GTM
  • Utilize Preview and Submit functionalities for effective testing and deployment. Define and apply Tags, Triggers, and Variables according to specific tracking requirements 
  • Implement Facebook Tags, including pixel setup, testing, and utilizing GTM for testing purposes
  • Conducting comprehensive testing of Facebook tags and events, ensuring accurate tracking
  • Utilize DataLayer Variables, Lookup Table, and Regex Table for advanced tracking configurations
  • Comprehend the structure and functionality of DataLayer and JavaScript Objects for enhanced tracking capabilities
  • Introduction to server-side GTM setup, including configuration tags, client entities, custom variables, and triggers
  • Testing and implementing Facebook Conversion API hits on the server-side.

Audience

This course is targeted to any UNICEF staff interested in knowing more about the digital fundraising unit's activities at UNICEF.

 Structure

The course consists of three modules: Basic Level Training, Intermediate Level Training, and Advanced Level Training. Additionally, there will be a test at the end of each module and one live Q&A session for all.
