This course introduces the Programme Criticality (PC) framework, which helps UN staff assess and balance the need to deliver essential programmes with security risks in high-risk environments. Through practical examples and interactive exercises, learners will understand how to apply the PC methodology, use the PC tool, and make informed decisions to ensure safe and effective programme delivery.

- Explain the steps of the PC methodology and how to undertake a PC assessment
- Describe how the PC framework and tool are used to manage security risk.

This course is suitable to UN personnel, senior managers, programme and security staff at HQ and at country level.
