Fleet management is a major component of how UNICEF delivers its programmes. This course covers planning of transport requirements; the types of vehicles required, the numbers of vehicles needed and how this planning can be successfully accomplished.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Determine the size and composition of the fleet.
  • Identify the types and numbers of vehicles required.
  • Establish the advantages of fleet standardisation.
  • Calculate the ideal fleet size.
  • Determine the process of fleet performance reviews.
  • Identify the conditions when the use of locally rented vehicles are considered acceptable.
  • Identify the phases and process of planning your vehicle needs.

This course is suitable to administrative officers, administrative specialists and operations managers.

It is also recommended to chiefs of operations who may want to understand more about fleet management.
