Learning objectives
The Knowledge Management Learning Programme is comprised of three separate courses.
By the end of the ‘KM for UNICEF Results’ Course, participants will be able to:
- Understand and be able to explain the basic and foundational principles of KM in general and in the UNICEF context
- Recall UNICEF’s KM strategy and priorities
- Discuss the importance of applying KM in their offices and day-to-day work, and
- Identify and apply simple KM approaches that will benefit them in their areas of work.
In addition, KM Specialists and focal points proceeding to the ‘Certified UNICEF KM Practitioner’ Course will be able:
- Practice working on a specific KM project in their office
- Analyze and provide feedback on to address challenges in specific KM projects
- Explain what comprises successful KM applications
Managers in an office taking the ‘Certified UNICEF Champion’ Course will be able to:
- Understand the importance and the value of KM and the need to promote it in different UNICEF offices.
Audience
The KM Learning Program is targeted towards UNICEF colleagues who need to build their skills in performing, supporting and championing the different KM functions in an office.
Primary audience:
- KM specialists and focal points
Secondary audiences:
- Managers of any function in an office
- Colleagues working in any other functional area, including in Planning and M&E, Programmes, Communications, HR and Operations, Partnerships, IT, and front office support.
