Programme content
The aim of the Global Induction & Orientation Programme is to guide you as you begin your career at UNICEF, from the moment you receive your offer letter, through your arrival at your duty station, and in the first weeks and months in your new role.
The Programme will cover:
- UNICEF's mission, its structure, and ways of working;
- key activities for you to complete before you join your new office, as well as guidance on the administrative tasks you will need to complete once you are on board;
- an overview of all of UNICEF's Programme areas;
- essential tools, systems and processes you will need to be familiar with in order to fulfill your duties on the job;
- additionally, specialised training based on your role and location.
Learning objectives
The key learning objective of the Global Induction & Orientation Programme is to equip you with the knowledge and tools to help you make the most of the first few months on the job, and set you up for success as you begin your career as part of UNICEF's 12,000 staff members across the globe.
Audience
All newly hired UNICEF staff, across all professional categories and grades, contract types and duty stations.
